Telangana NEET Counselling 2019 Procedure & Important Details

Telangana NEET Counselling 2019 1st phase allotment has been released. The counseling procedure is organized by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Telangana. From 2018, Telanagana state has joined 15% All India Quota scheme. Now, the counseling is conducted for the 85% state quota seats. The authority conducting the separate counseling for state government medical and dental seat or state management quota seats. To get admission in MBBS and BDS courses, it is necessary for the candidates to appear in the NEET 2019 entrance examination.

The process of seat allotment will be carried out on the basis of rank, preferences of colleges and availability of seats. NEET UG 2019 qualified candidates have to fill the application form and also mention the helpline center for the verification of documents. Students have to pay registration and verification fee of Rs. 3,500 for OC/BC categories and Rs.2,900 for SC/ST categories.

The counseling is organized through online mode in which candidates have to exercise their web options. The authority will publish the state merit list which contains the serial number, roll number, category, total marks and NEET 2019 rank of the candidate.

The filled-in application form should be sent to the university by post/ by hand.

Selection & Admission Procedure

  • First of all candidates have to verify their original documents at the notified helpline center as per their schedule.
  • Only after the verification of the documents, candidates will be considered eligible for the web exercising options.
  • At the helpline center, candidates will able to fill the choices of college in which they are looking for admission.
  • Candidates have to log in to their account to get the list of colleges and lock the filled choices.
  • Candidates those will be allotted with the seats can download the allotment letter from the website.
  • The seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s filled choice, a rank of the candidate, category and seat availability.

Reservation Criteria

Admission to the 85% state quota seats will be reserved for the local candidates in relation to each local area. Candidates have to furnish a certificate in the prescribed proforma to claim the reservation.

The reservation for various categories is given as follows:

  • Scheduled Castes: 15%
  • Scheduled tribes: 6%
  • Backward Classes: 29%
  • Women Candidates: 3%
  • CAP (Army): 1%
  • National Cadet Corps: 1%
  • Sports & Games: 0.50%
  • Physically Challenged: 3%
  • Police Martyrs Children (PMC): 0.25%
