Realizing the need of a medical college in the western hilly region the concept of Lumbini Medical College & Teaching Hospital Pvt. Ltd. emerged. Lumbini Medical College & Teaching Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is located in the lap of lotus Pond "Kamal pokhari" of Pravas in the south of the peaceful town of Tansen municipality, Palpa district, Lumbini Zone. Tansen, the district administration headquarters of Palpa one out of 75 districts in Nepal, has been a Municipality since 1957.
