Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital affiliated to Kathmandu University was founded in 2004. It is located in Biratnagar, one of the major academic hubs of eastern part of Nepal. The establishment and beginning of this college at Tansen, where people have firm determination to develop this beautiful town on the basis of three mottos, education, health and tourism has enhanced their inspiration, eagerness and happiness . Realizing the need of a medical college in the western hilly region the concept of Lumbini Medical College & Teaching Hospital Pvt. Ltd. emerged. Lumbini Medical College & Teaching Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is located in the lap of lotus Pond "Kamal pokhari" of Pravas in the south of the peaceful town of Tansen municipality, Palpa district, Lumbini Zone. Tansen, the district administration headquarters of Palpa one out of 75 districts in Nepal, has been a Municipality since 1957. The KMC Teaching Hospital, located within the ring-road and just near the airport, is in a position of easy access. KMC is permanently affiliated to Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and the Sri Lanka Medical Council. Kathmandu Medical College has also been listed in the WHO's World Directory of Medical Schools - electronic format as from June 2001. KMC is also an Associate Member of the Network of Community Based Medical Schools that has its headquarters at Ghent in Belgium. KMC have two girls' hostel and one boy hostel for 128 students in rented building. Kathmandu Medical College has two spacious libraries- one for Basic Sciences and the other for Clinical Sciences. B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was established on Jan 18, 1993 and subsequently upgraded as an autonomous Health Sciences University on Oct 28, 1998 with a mandate to work towards developing socially responsible and competent health workforce, providing health care & involving in innovative health research. Relief Fund May 07, 2015 RELIEF FUND Keeping in view of managing the disaster and helping the victims of the recent earthquake KIST Medical College has created a forum for collecting supports in the RELIEF FUND. At present, the college and the teaching hospital are functioning from three main buildings. This block houses the various Basic Science departments and laboratories. Each of these labs has a surface area of approximately 55 m2 and can accommodate 25 students. The dissection hall has a surface area of around 110 m2 and can accommodate over 100 students at a time. On the top floor there are two modern air conditioned lecture halls equipped with LCD projectors, OHPs, white board and cordless mike system which can each accommodate a total of 150 students.
Gandaki Medical College was established in 2007 with the aim of imparting quality medical education to the students from different parts of the world. GMC is located at Pokhara. Hospital and other academic buildings will be constructed in an area of about 200 Ropani (1 Ropani = 5625 square feet thus 11,25,000 square feet ) of land. The hospital complex houses many multi-storied buildings that accommodate the OPDs and wards of the clinical departments, Emergency department, Operating Theatres, Central Laboratory, Blood Bank, Pharmacies, and Canteen etc. The OPDs of the various departments together have a capacity to treat about 1000 patients daily.
