THE CAMPUS –
Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital is situated in the heart of the city of Bareilly. Bareilly is about 255 kms from the national capital Delhi and 245 kms from state capital Lucknow, situated at National Highway – 24. The campus is lush green, sprawling over an area of 42 acres. It is about 5 kms from the railway station and 2 kms from the Bus stand. A well built residential complex for faculty and separate hostel for boys & girls are available within the campus. The recreational facilities are the envy of all other colleges in Bareilly. The campus provides twenty-four hour water supply, electricity supply and all other essential amenities.

Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Center was established in 2008 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. For an admission intake of 100 MBBS students, which has been increased to 150 seats from 2014-15. It conducts Post Graduate degree (MD) in Pre and Para Clinical subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Sciences, Community Medicine and Pharmacology approved by the Medical Council of India.The Medical Council of India has approved MD/MS in Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, ENT and Ophthalmology and in Orthopedics, OBG and TB & Chest.
The college has started three-year post graduate program in M.Sc. Medical (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology) from 2009 to augment the availability of qualified teachers in Pre and Para Clinical subjects. Ph.D. program in these subjects has commenced from 2013-14.

Desert Medicine Research Centre (DMRC), is one of the permanent institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a Government of India’s apex autonomous organization for bio-medical research in the country. Realizing the importance of research needs of existing and emerging health problems of desert, ICMR decided to establish a Centre in Rajasthan with a definite mandate to undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas, study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region and strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.
The Centre, established on 27th June, 1984, started functioning in the form of three co-ordinating units located at Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Jaipur. The positioning of the three units in three areas of Rajasthan, represented a desert health study unit at Jodhpur, a unit representing a desert area with developmental activity (Indira Gandhi Nahar Priyojna) at Bikaner and a non-desert area represented by the Jaipur unit.
