Up to 1983 professional course like Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Dental, Nursing and Pharmacy etc. Were open though government institutions for only a restricted number of students. Many deserving and interested students, thus were not in a position to acquire the professional educational facilities. Additional professional college were the day and government has thus permitted the private institutions to conduct professional courses like Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Dental, Nursing and Pharmacy.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College was established in the year 2001 and it is a distinguished Law college affiliated to the University of Pune. Sheltered in huge well architectured premises along with multiple institutes, the college has a unique academic atmosphere chiefly characterized by interdisciplinary scholarly interaction and healthy competitive spirit and enthusiasm to excel in various curricular activities.
