The Board established Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani Law College widely known as G. J. Advani Law College in the year 1977 which is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of University Grants Commission Act and also recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi (vide registration No. BCI/LE/GJAL/MBI/MU/04/) for the teaching of the three year Degree course in Law (LL.B.).
The College is named after one of the leading advocates of Sind, Late Shri. Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani, who was a scholar and writer of the book titled as ‘Arbitration and Specific Relief Act’. He was also connected with many Educational Institutions in Sind as well as in Mumbai. We are proud to say that the College has established its reputation for high standard of teaching in law. In 1999, the St. Francis Institute of Technology (SFIT) was established with the aim of creating an Engineering Degree Institute to meet the long-established public need of an Institute of Excellence in Borivali.
In the most coveted disciplines, SFIT has five UG programs and two PG programs, taking into account both industrial needs and public preference. These courses would result in the award of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Master of Engineering (M.E.) as well as a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering.

In the academic year 2001-02, the Thakur College of Engineering & Technology (TCET) was established with a clear objective of providing quality technical education in accordance with international standards and contemporary global requirements.
